S. F. 14Z. 1918 WWI WWII German Trench Periscope Donkey Ears Carl Zeiss Jena

Offered for sale is excellent and quite uncommon German WWI - WWII Trench periscope known as "Donkey Ears ". This particular example was manufactured in July of. 1918 by Carl Zeiss - Jena model S. Z, right at the very end of WWI. Optics are nice and clear - fully functional.

Come with its original leather carrying case that is maker stamped (hard to read) and numbered to periscope! Case is complete with set of Amber filters, cloth and brush - shows wear but considering its age - still in very good shape. Those " Range finders " were used also during WWII - with that one being end of WWI redesign variant - basically same as those made for WWII efforts.

Periscope comes with authentic WWI era stand - tripod marked WILD 968. Apparently there should be also aiming circle or leveling device with those stands - it is not present, but transition was made so periscope can be attached to tripod - visible on pictures. That example will be excellent as display along with other WWI and WWII era artifacts. Thanks for checking my listings.
