WW2 German MP38 MP40 Magazine Pouch. Reproduction Foreign Used Carried S612

For sale here is an unusual WW2 German MP38 or MP40 Magazine Pouch. This is an unusual pouch. It certainly isn't a made to fool pouch, and it is different enough from known originals that it isn't reenactor gear either. The pouch is made from cotton canvas. Neither the pouch nor the stitching react to US light. This has been used, carried, and held magazines. The leather is old and slightly brittle. As you can see from the photos, one of the keepers has broken the stitching.

The leather is not sewn down in German style. There is a mix of different stitching and the belt loops are riveted on.

The catch studs are surrounded by leather that is not stitched. There are leather bumps inside of the mag pouch behind the studs as well.

The studs seem to be longer and have thinner bases than known originals. There is no reinforcement stitching on the bottom.

The back seems to have some sort of stiffener inside of it. The canvas shows mud, age, wear, corner wear through, and indentations on the bottoms side of the covers. This is well made, older, and show real time age, use, and wear. This pouch seams to contain no synthetic materials. If you know what this is or when it was made, please let me know, and i will update the listing. Meanwhile, this is a good looking pouch in great worn condition.
