The first is a nice light colored bloodstained German WWII K98k Sling. Many of the slings you'll see online have been rubbed raw over the course of their lifespan, so much so that the textured pattern has worn off. Not so with this sling.
This example was produced during WWII and still exhibits a strong Ricasso pattern. The sling retains it's original ink'Kar' stamp on inner side as well as a faint inspectors stamp on sling end.
First k98k sling example I've owned that has what appears to be blood stains. A grim reminder of the individual sacrifices made during the war. No conditioners have been applied to the sling. It remains in an unmolested state, with stiffer leather that exhibits a light caramel color. On the remaining slings, several makers marks can be seen, such as the Linden & Funke L&F stamping on one of the sling buckles and a rarer nicely WaA and RL-marked pebbled leather sling frosch.
Another sling frosch appears to have a makers mark ink stamping. See photos as slings pictured are the exact examples you will receive. This lot is a nice discount. Will be a nice addition to your K98k rifles lacking appropriate wartime K98k slings. Grab these while you can!
